Adventurers. They are everywhere with thier 7k armies. Especially with the 2 first bookmarks, where there aren't many big realms and/or are being split very quickly (Karlings and Abbasids). Most of the realms don't have big armies and all adventurers are guaranteed to win. They conquer all their neighbors with their event spawned army, then get conquered by other adventurers as soon as their heir inherits and loses event army.

It's rather unfun to see potential growing regional powers crushed by random adventurer that never had any land and conjures 7k troops out of nowhere. Only realms that can fight them are growing (AKA Byzantines, but I'm also seeing Constantinople taken by random khitan guy) and the rest is just colorful mess that never unites, because it doesn't have enough time to grow enough before being struck with another adventurer.

In the next version mercenary troops hired by adventurers will be disbanded. No more free troops for them.

You can always disable adventurers in the game rules too.

technically they didn't conjure an army out of nowhere... probably the game starts with them already having raised an army but usually the adventurer has to wait months or years to gather forces and attack... you probably started after they did all that

I'm perfectly fine with these type of adventurers. They travel, raise the army, sometimes it's strong sometimes not, it's very cool mechanic.

But there are other adventurers that just appear out of nowhere. You get a message that someone made a claim on your title and you get that fist notification. Sometimes that 'someone' is a courtier without any ancestors that never had any land. They also have almost always 7k troops. And while me, as a human can deal with them, be it murder or just exploiting that their armies are not reinforcing, AI does not. it bugs me that 100 years into the game half of the world is owned by adventurers.

oh gotcha, Im not sure I have noticed this but I will pay attention and see if it happens to me, I started in the 8th century and now it is like 1100

i just get annoyed with the constant raiding from damn vikings lol

I feel a "reduced" option to the adventurers rule would be nice, so maybe only people who have a pressable claim can actually do the whole adventuring thing, and only on the place(s) they have claimed.

They also should target their actual claimant.
I had one adventurer last night raise a 30k army in Paris, claiming Genoa, run himself all the way to my land in Jerusalem to siege 2 slots before running away to Africa and try to come up at me through Spain. All losing 0 troops to supply.... Infuriating.
