Is there any official word on what the scale of the Tile map is - i.e. the 10x10 sector grid we build on? Each individual sector on that looks like it's 100m x 100m from the scale of the people/domes etc - small domes look like they're 30m diameter. Is that right?
But another approach would be to go down from the Global Map, where you select a location depending on lat/lon. Assuming that the selected location is 1 square degree (1 degree on Mars is 59 km across on Mars) then each Sector on the tilemap would be 5.9 km across, but then all the objects we build would be massively oversized.
It makes more sense to me to assume that the size of things at the Sector level is correct and that when we pick a location on the global map we're just shown a 1 square km part of that. Not that what we see on the sector map actually corresponds to anything at that real location on Mars anyway...
But either way, is there an official answer to this?
