Hi!

I'm currently making new counters, but I can't get the game to load them. I make them by loading an original counter, copying over my version and saving it (in GIMP, without changing any image properties - they still are 64x34 at 256 colors). If I copy those to the gfx\palette folder of my mod, the game always loads the original AoD counters. However, If I try the same with the counters from MDS2, the game loads the correct one (so this probably isn't an issue with moddir, but with my images - but I can't spot any difference between the ones that work and the ones that don't).
Does anyone have an idea what could be wrong with my counters? I attached a version that works (from MDS2) and one that doesn't (mine) it that helps.

Solved - had probably something to do with the rather strange palettes HoI 2 uses. This great tool produces working counters. There is still that #%§&! moddir issue that new counters need a file with the same name in the vanilla directory (which kinda defeats the whole purpose of moddir), but at least the counters work.
