So i really love the new cadet branch option in the intrigue tab once your Bastard turns 16. I made one while playing the Targaryens 132 years after Aegon's Conquering of Westeros. My firstborn(bastard) was named Raegan and his cadet branch was named Truedrake (white 3 headed dragon with a purple background). He had better stats that my second born son. I feel like this is going to make for a great role play. Has anyone else had a experience like this and if so tell your characters story.

Also Can any major House create a cadet branch? if so i wonder what the starks potential cadet branches are named.

Any player can make a cadet branch as any house, if you aren't one of the major houses you get a generic named cadet house but if you are a major house then they are named something to do with your house.
Also if you ever run out of dynasty members and you have a cadet branch you can legitimise them into your house.

I didn't know about that last one- can the Starks do that with the Karstarts as well?

The last point really is interesting, I also didn't know :)

Does anybody know if the High Valyrian Velaryons of Driftmark have non default names (South, West, East, North) for cadet branches?

In my very long running Rhaegar game (which is now over 400 years later), I've given Volantis to the Truedrake family, because I thought the name was appropriate, and the whole point of conquering the place was to give it to one of my talented bastards. I meant to give Pentos to the Redwyrm family as well, but things got short-circuited when they left for someone else's court and ended up becoming a Duke there, and I didn't want to mess up the borders of the Free Cities (except for giving Lyse 2 of Volantis' counties).

I needed something to do after winning the civil war with Rhaegar, which was very tough, but I pulled off as perfect an ending you can expect when things are so random. Elia died of completely natural causes early on in the war, after I murdered Aerys with the help of Little Finger and Varys, I defeated Robert on the field of Combat and sent him to the Wall but also spared his brothers, and when I got to the Tower of Joy I ended up with the best results, since I wasn't married anymore it didn't cause any problems when I made her my queen. (Also Jamie stayed noble and became great, Robert still became a drunk but eventually led the Night's Watch and had a genius bastard daughter, who married Edmure Tully, Tyrion even got to inherit the Westerlands... and Cersei was excommunicated after she murdered him)

And Viserys' kids inspired me. The madman got himself exiled after demanding land several times and then starting a civil war (of course I didn't give Viserys any land!). I ended up with his only son still in my court, so I decided to give him the Stepstones for something to do. Also raise him to be a good man, which actually worked. Though blood tells I suppose, he didn't live long enough to become king of the Stepstones, but after 20 years I let Viserys come back and gave them to him. His grandson and thereafter went increasingly insane, and became Drowned God worshippers (so the Stepstones are STILL full of pirates), but also incredibly badass fighters so they made great generals for my other wars, and despite being kings were never powerful enough to challenge me.

So after all that it became my 'thing' to do over the 300+ years of play.

Got to be the best story about a Rhaegar playthough. I Have been trying to have a cadet Stark branch but my Male Starks are so damn fertile with heir wives and i'd hate to go against their good nature. (always try to be honorable)
