They said those things in the last months of CK2 too. “We have a lot of new stuff for CK2 comming!” and CK3 was announced that same year.
Time will tell then. I really hope we'll get 3 more immersion packs though. One more is 100% guaranteed at least and should be announced very soon. Hopefully next week, but I have been saying this every week since March...

Personally I hope we see EU5 dev diaries as soon as possible.

I used to be a huge EU4 fanboy, I have more than 1k hours played, but after Emperor failure I lost all interest in the game. Leviathan confirmed my suspicions.

Also I guess I got tired of EU4 simple “map painter” mechanics. I want more complex gameplay apart from war and conquest. More deep economy, trade, population, tech trees, etc things like that.

And apart from this, EU4 is nowadays a very outdated game. You can’t even to back to the menu without restarting the game. It doesn’t have native support for 2K and 4K resolutions, which sucks if you have a monitor of those resolutions. And specially I can’t stand anymore the micromanaging of armies.

I think the micromanaging of armies in the mid to late game is what makes me never finish my games. I want to be able to automatize armies if I want (CK3 and Imperator have this).

Still nothing. I'm starting to get worried, if we'll even get 1.34 before Summer or early June anymore.
I'd bet money we don't get any new content until the end of the year. Maybe longer. I honestly would like Stellaris' custodian team like that for EU4, but at this point, they would need a whole army of janitors to fix this hot mess.
