Will it be possible to make the events a seperate download? For example, I may want just the events, but not everything else, for example that is. I would download it fully anyway, but just thought I would ask.

There will be two versions of CORE, much like was done with VIP for Victoria. There will be the full version, which will include everything, and a "lite" version, which will not include the flavor events, just the major events.
There will not be any ability to d/l just the events, as they will be scripted to work with all the changes that CORE makes (tech trees, OOB's, nations, etc).
