The swedes, off course, prefered to stay home and beat up their finnish neighbours as usual :D

We managed to hang on to it a teeny weeny bit longer than u guys hang on to the Holy Land. :D

IIRC there was also a danish prince who was killed somewhere in Anatolia in 1097.

Would this explain why the Danes are constantly taking bits of Anatolia in EU2? :D

On a more serious note, IIRC the Battle of Hastings was only the beginning. It took William two more years to fully subdue the English lords. Will this be simulated, or does England start out fully under the rule of Bill I?

After Hastings there was not much left to oppose him. Probably can be handled (in EU terms) by a high nationalism revolt % or maybe some counties already in revolt (again using EU terms).

When will be the exact start day...was not King William crowned on Christmas day??...that would be 1066 December 25
after that??

Also as in EU2 what wars will will be active when the game starts...

EU2 starts off with 3 wars raging...will for instance William the Conq.....be waging war against the Scots and the Welsh at the start of the game...there must be dozens of others as well....also how will the Dukes of Normandy owing fealty to the King of France be handled in game as far as i know this was taken much more seriously at this time....he can/did command the Normans to appear at certain places and certain times with their retinue.

It certainly is a tricky situation. It will be interesting to see if P/S can model this accurately or if they will make some exceptions to what happened historically.:)

Actually, it took until 1078 to fully subdue england, after Will had finished laying waste to Yorkshire. Until then, the English were rebelling fairly often, one attempt led to almost all of western mercia falling into Saxon hands, while Yorkshire was always rebelling, and even went as far as to invite lots of those crazy Scandinavians over to help (though Will just payed them to go away).
I think that as well as a high revolt risk, some revolts should be events...
