I couldn't stand the added features during the beta at first; tanks through hedgerows, AT guns in buildings, etc. but now I'm beginning to miss them. Any word of them returning or were they too unpopular?

AT guns in buildings are abusable by microing in and out, Tanks through hedgerows were a strange idea in the first place.
If it would be up to me, I would reverse this whole update back because of the crits. Everytime I hit a vehicle and it glows "Internal fragments" I think "Dang it! It could be dead already if there was no Santa Claws!"

So yes, they were too unpopular.

Can be limited. A prep time before any shot is enough.

Can be limited too. I did propose some things myself.

Could be balanced. Crits themselves are good. Special like for the ammo crit which necessitate some ammo truck to reload. I love it, it's fun.
The main prob isn't in crit/no crit but in counter/no counter around the new crit system. The new crit system did reenforce the difficulty to keep AT's alive and make them useful before their loss. Which they didn't need with the amount of shit you can use to kill them and the amount of shots you already needed to kill armor. But it is a side effect based on other changes (speed improvement for vehicles), it is not done on purpose.
