Whenever I turn in Vic 3, my computer crashes and restarts

Description​

This has been happening for some time now. I played on the free weekend and it was fine. I found out that it is a COM issue through the event manager, but I don’t know how to fix it. I haven’t attached any files because it’s not happening on any specific save.

COM issues are common in WEV, they are probably unrelated to your problem.

Right click on victoria3.exe , properties, compatibility. Tick "disable fullScreen optimisations" untick every other box in that dialog, Apply and exit.
Then in the launcher Game Settings menu, select fullScreen display mode, Vsync off, cap refresh rate at 60.

DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Please attach here your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Victoria3/pdx_settings.json .
From your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Victoria3/logs/ folder, attach here system.log , error.log , exceptions.log

Here are teh files. There was no exceptions log though, does that mean anything?

Is this the Steam edition of the game, or something else?

Please update that nVidia driver to December 2023 https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

If that don't help, what happens if you run victoria3.exe directly from File Explorer? Any different?
