I asked a while back in Quick Questions Quick Answers and didn’t get a reply. I want to remove the table items on the outside of the map for performance reasons but I don’t know where they are kept.

Edit: They are kind of gimmicky anyways. I wish we had the option to remove them in settings instead of just exchanging them for different ones….

I don't know specifically, but I'm fairly sure there will be a specific .gui file for all of that; those are in game\gui

I extremely doubt they cause any amount of performance loss, so removing them for that reason seems entirely pointless.
However, I noticed they're map objects in the map editor, so looking there would be my first step.

While searching out some other info, I believe I've found what you're looking for. Namely, game\gfx\map\map_object_data\. There you'll find a file papermap_items_locator.txt. There are similar files in the DLC folder for the DLC theme items.

Thank you so much

I was able to remove them with relative ease by scaling them to 0 in the files. And it worked without having to edit individual themed items. Just edited the scale size of the 4 locations in that file you mentioned. The only problem is I can’t remove the cloth and coins at the top-center. Can’t find where those files are kept. As soon as I do, I’ll remove them out if I can, and I’ll upload this as a mod to Steam.
