I love this mod! I've been playing an awesome HRE campaign, having swallowed up the other major French Kingdoms, I want to become an major power in the West! However, one of my most-wanted things to do was to restore the Hittite Empire in the East. However, there is no Hittite race! I've looked through the ruler designer, and it isn't there! Does anyone know where the Hittites are? If they perhaps are named differently? Or if they are going to be added in the future? Thanks.

Look for Luwian religion, a kind of Hellenized neo-Hittite cult. Read the description in-game for more info.

In fact Luwians have a very interesting event chain to revive Hatushash, coded in by richvh, so they should make an interesting play through.

Thanks! Now I will restore the Hittite Empire!

Isauria is the only realm ruled by a Hittite faith.

Nice, let us know how it goes
It is always nice to discover new people sharing my fascination for a neo-Hittite imperial revival :)
(yes we wandering on these forums are strange people! This or maybe in fact we are normal, and the vast majority of people I see in the streets not dreaming of a neo-hittite imperial revival are weird...)

I want to see the restoration of the oldest empire around (as they were the successors of the Sumerians). What's not awesome about that?!

Still better than the countless Romanophiles ;)

As you might guess from my name, I actually love the Romans. If you do enough research you'll learn that they actually have Hittite origins. How about that?!

Well, for that to be true you have to 1) believe there is truth behind the Aeneid, and 2) that the Trojans were Hittites, rather than some allied or subject people.

The artifacts found at the site that is historical Troy are of a Hittite Origen. The Aeneid has some truth to it. However, some Etruscan artifacts have also been linked with these Hittite/Trojan artifacts. The Aeneid is a legend. Of course it has some truth to it, but archaeological evidence can actually prove it.

It's paradox we are talking about, we are the weird ones but is that a bad thing ? :p
