I just started to play this game and I can't find the save files. I looked in the CK save file and I even did a search in my computer but still can't find them. I appreciate any help.

it should be in the place you installed it, look in Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings\scenarios, and you should see save games

If you use win7 or vista and install it c:\program files, the save files are moved to your appearance folder. There should be a link at the top of the save game folder.

I can't find this "appearance" folder.

Sorry dudes ... was writing from my mobile and apparently my dictionary decided that 'AppData' should be 'appearances'. I believe there will be a link at the top of the save game folder somewhere, that will link you to the folder where it stores them.

I cannot find a link in my Saved Games folder (it is empty), but in my Windows 7 64-bit system, the saved games are in
[user]\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Paradox Entertainment\Crusader Kings\scenarios\save games

I have another set of saved games for DVIP in a different folder
[user]\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Paradox Entertainment\Crusader Kings DVIP\scenarios\save games
matching the name I gave to my DVIP game folder

It is recommended to not install games in the program files folder in win7/vista. It can give problems sometimes. Some players have experienced issues when applying mods for the game when located there.

I appreciate the help guys. For anybody else that may be having the same problem i found the link. Except the link was called compatibility files and not appdata. I will probably do a reinstall once I finish my current campaign and take CK out of program files. I had the same problem with EU3 and not installing in program files kept the saves in the in the game save file.

No need to reinstall... just move the CK folder somewhere else :)... you can even make extra copies of it for modding if you so wish.
