Hi folks,

I finally managed to get into the Paradox games via EU3. Now I'm intrigued and want more, so I bought The Victoria Complete package from GamersGate after reading that Vicky is maybe the most intricate and complex of all Paradox history games.
Now I spent some time reading the manual and this board, but I often stumble upon information that is seemingly long outdated. So my question is: What is the most accurate learning/tutorial/research source for Vicky + Addon? Still the manual? The wiki? The unofficial manual in the wiki? Just the forum?

Sincere thanks for your help!

Good decision, welcome to the Vicky forum! :)

There are several people here who are willing to help you and answer questions, so I think your best choice is to dive into it, and then just ask here when you get stuck. The wiki is pretty helpful too, but as you say it can be difficult to know which information is relevant to your version.
I usually recommend Sweden as a beginner nation, it's a medium sized country that is mostly out of harms way but has a lot of potential to do great things.

except no auto building capitalists, which is a pretty big part of the game in revolutions. The best tutorial is that fan made Belgian scenario, that explains pretty much all the basics and will get you into the game much quicker. I don't have the link though.

Thanks for the links, I ordered Victoria on Amazon for only 2£ and getting it next week. The AAR are very helpful.

You better buy revolutions, too, as vanilla vicky is much too old by now... ;) Gamersgate.com is much better for buying paradox games, and usually it's cheaper, too.
