Where is a message from the CO team this week. Are my expectations too high?

No. Merely having paid for a game does not entitle you to the minutes of the weekly review meetings. If you want that level of detail join the company. What's being demanded is so far beyond anything reasonable it should become the new Karen meme. People that entitled should be ruthlessly mocked.

Oh yes, it does.
We literally ARE the company, as without us CO wouldn't have any income at all. None. Nill.

And a company, who becomes infamous for not only underperforming in any imaginable way, but introducing new bugs with almost any patch and then staying silent about what they are doing, doesn't deserve any better treatment as they are receiving right now.

Modders are able to at least suppress the symptoms of the homeless bug within days. CO obviously is incable of fixing the cause even after more than a month.

I think it's absurd. Personally, I don't care if the developers make sure that I have a bug-free product in my hands NOW, or if they take a day every week to write about what they're doing, why they're doing it, what their vacation was like, what progress they're making with which bugfix, etc.... I don't give a damn if the next patch comes on Thursday or in October. But those who do care and can't wait should let the developers do what they are paid to do.

You are right. It is absolutely absurd.

So, based on your own words, you don't care if the game for which you have paid quite some money months ago already, will be fixed any time soon or not. That actually is absurd as it literally means you don't care what you are paying money for.

And the second absurdity is to assume that the "developers" (assuming you meant "programmers") are the ones who are responsible for the company's communication. That is the job of the person who comes with the title of "community manager", meaning she is the spokesperson. That's her job and she would better do it.
