Where to put mods if the folder they say doesnt exist

Hi

This folder - WIN: C:\Users\user_name\MyDocuments\MyGames\BattleTech\mods
Doesnt exist

So how do I instal mods?

I want to instal the 3062 mod

So I downloaded the mod files and asset bundle ... and followed baradul's video instructions ... nothing

Anyone feel like helping me out here?

my game is stored in this location:

D: Games / Steamapps / Common / Battletech

The mod folder that i found that already existed is here:

D: Games / Steamapps / Common / Battletech / Battlertech Data / Streaming Assets / Data / Mods

I tried installing the mods to this folder too ... nothing.

Help please

and yes this is my first attempt at modding the game ...

If you don't have a mod folder then you need to create one

Okay lets try again from the start ... I have created a folder called Mods here: D: Games / Steamapps / Common / Battletech / Mods

Do I just copy the unzipped mod files directly into this mods folder?
Or do I create a sub folder in mods to house the mod files?

so D: Games / Steamapps / Common / Battletech / Mods / 3062

GRRRRR ... pkay i have now done BOTH ... Battletech /Mods + Asset bundle and Mod files
and
Battletech / Mods / 3062 + Asset Bundle and Mods Files

When I start the game I dont see the mektech loader thing Baradul said to look out for. - it just loads normally
Also there is no mention of this mod in the mod interface in the game

what is going wrong??

The following works for me, if you are using the new HBS mod system (which has some bugs in it https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/modding-screen-–-disappearing-mods.1287751/):
C:\Users\***\Documents\My Games\BattleTech\mods

If you are using Modtek:
C:\***\Steam\steamapps\common\BATTLETECH\Mods

I don’t use 3062, so I don’t know how the asset bundle is used.

Sounds like you are using the wrong version of the game. BTA 3062 does not yet support 1.8, you will need to rollback to 1.7.1 until they bloody doves releases an update.

@Rick273 BTA 3062 isin't up dated yet for 1.8 if oyu need further updates on it i would check out the discord
