The press release says Oct 27. It's Oct 27, and no mention on the EIC game page, nor on the forums. Is the release still happening today? If not, when?

Where are Paradox marketing people? They didn't announce Designer's Cut properly, now the same with Privateer. http://eic-game.com still doesn't have a mention there was an add-on released. http://paradoxplaza.com still has the old announcement saying Q4 2009: http://www.paradoxplaza.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=605&Itemid=

Privateer is on Direct2Drive now but it doesn't say whether it includes the directors cut. I'm downloading now but I may wait to install till I read if there's any bugginess, or if I should install the directors cut first.
Please let us know if it includes Director's. I've had tonight's schedule free for weeks in anticipation of this, and right now and fuming and cursing Paradox! I feel like someone forgot my birthday.
Well, the Direct2Drive privateer does not include the designers cut, no upgrade to the base game. Which maybe is a good thing because in the brief time I just played with Privateer, I'm not sure I'd want some of the..'improvements'... in my base game.
Unless direct2drive has not updated their text, that version is still 1.00, while the director's cut version is 1.1. So, it appears that it's probably not the director's cut. Other sites do have it, if you can be bothered to sign up for an account.
Utterly confused. Impulse is showing Privateer for $10 but not a word about a Director's Cut for the original game. Would the GG version of Director's Cut work for me? How do i get it?

if the designers cut has the same new high pitched nasal voice acting as privateer, that might be enough alone to make me take a pass on it
I'm sorry. I'm not sure what GG stands for. At any rate, the impulse home page is showing the directors cut as a free download under new releases, at least for me. It's the second "new release" after Privateer. Are you seeing something different?
Oh and that link leads to this page which shows it as a free digital download.
EDIT: I just realized that GG is gamersgate. Wow, A lot of confusion in this thread. I was only responding to the portion about Impulse, as that's where I got it.
