Which mod is better? WATK or MYMAP?

Kasperus Map are clearly better. A lot of german provinces and a more balanced map, however MYMAP has AGCEEP.
 
I think it's subjective really, since they are both good. I would say that mymap has more development input however.
 
Which is not necessarily a good thing...

I like both, but MyMap has had many cooks in the past, and it shows. It's stylisticly diverse and diffuse even. As for balance and the like, I'm not too sure. Both maps do okay.
 
I would say Kasperus' map is the best one, by far. It looks a lot better, albeit it is a bit more concentrated on the later game years than MyMap.

I am also curious to the new AGCEEP HC map. The screenshots looked promising.

I am not sure what you mean with 'larger', but Kasperus map and MyMap both have 2018 provinces and seazones and thus are probably equal big :)
Also, AGCEEP is presently only playable with MyMap (which is also the big bonus for that map for any SP-er).
 
I always thought MYMAp had 2011 sea zones & provinces and WATK had 2018? Never mind. IMO MYMAP is better, But I haven't really played Kasperus because it's only vanilla and that kind of puts me off.
 
WATK doesn't make as much changes to Europe as MyMap, so depending on what areas you like to play you'll have to choose one. Personally, as I play European countries exclusively, I use MyMap and it's great.

in few weeks (hopefully), there will be working (mostly) AGCEEP (v0.1 beta :p ) for Kasperus map. See my signature :)
 
I accualy think the best map is the Vanilla map. (No offence to any mapmaker) I like that the provinces are somewhat unhistorical. I however think I am the only one here who likes the Vanilla map, because many whants modded things, and not orginals.

Somewhat unhistorical is acceptable. Abominably wrong is not, especially with not one, but two better maps at our disposal :D
 
I haven't had the chance to play WATK yet, but let's say like this; Vanilla-MyMAP is legally crap. Seriously. The minimap is annoying and all europeans have Terra Ignotica in a province next to them. MyMAP-AGCEEP is better with more work on it, and some countries such as Portugal is even better on it, but I still don't really like that they have destroyed the cultures with "Upper German", "Low German", "Middle German", "Norweigan", "Swedish" and "Danish". It's maybe more historical, at least regarding the german ones, but I see no historical reason at all to split "Scandinavian" up. It also stop expansion a lot.

Btw, I think that swedish and danish/norwegian culture is needed as they didn't exactly enjoy belonging to us. Look at the snapphanar in skåne/blekinge! They are swedish because we forced them to.

Hmm i prefer a more historical Scandinavia, but if i most choose i will choose Kasperus map.

Btw, The Snapphannar you are taking about was not only people from Skåne and Blekinge.
There was also people from Småland that rebeled against Sweden.

The people from Småland also fighted against the Swedes in the Dacke fejde!

The Snapphannar that fighted against Sweden, fighted for there own course more then they fighted for Denmark.

Yeah, but not everyone was a snapphane, were they? Anyhow, they were still the same "culture". The people from Skåne would have become swedish anyway, but slower. And at least Norweigan/Swedish were very close to each other. And Gameplay is more important than Historical accuracy, IMO.

BTW, I've tried WATK now and my first thought is that it's a good map, with the only drawback of having some provinces that is a little to tiny for my taste.
 
The snapphanar was initially a guerilla group. Dacke fejden was completely different, it was mostly because of new laws and the new religion introduced by Gustav. :)
 
Just a question regarding the maps. The addition of new provinces does make the game slower to run? because I don´t have a very fast machine, and with the vanilla map I am playing barely ok, but I want to try MyMap or Kasperus..

The only things I've noticed is a bit longer start-up time, and the savegames take a bit longer to be saved. Occasionally, when in some huge war and on Very Fast, there's a little hiccough of sorts at the end/beginning of the month, when all calculations are made, but on slower speed I haven't noticed it.
