So I've restored the two ruins (Oldstones and Summerhall) in Westeros in separate files and Oldstones actually had a few interesting events tied to it, like discovering an old crown. However, possibly through simple luck, Summerhall gave me nothing unique.

I'm considering a long term game in Essos and I'd like to ask what colonies bring special benefits or have nice events tied to them? I assume that most of them are pretty generic though.

I don't know if it's specifically Bhorash, but I colonized Bhorash and managed to find a Dragon Egg in the ruins. The event might just be able to happen in any of the Valyrian ruins, though.

Summerhall is a very recent ruin, just over 40 years old at the start of the series. As such, it shouldn't have many interesting stuff. Before ruin, it was just a summer castle for the Targaryens.

It actually does have a semi-unique thing in that it's ones of the few ruins where you can find a Dragon Egg, which makes perfect sense considering how Summerhall came into ruins in the first place.

the ruined city of Daros on the demon road, right east of Volantis, gave me a Dragon Egg too (as it's close to old Valyria).
Also there was an amphitheatre to rebuild for 500 gold which I could thankfully afford, giving my city vassal (I was Targ King on the Iron throne without dragons, Daeron Bookmark) an amphitheatre building (slight tax bonus), and me a wonderful "Theatre patron" bonus on diplomacy +1 for 10 years.
My Grandson found a Valyrian steel sword in the ruins of Borash (presumably, since he was 2 years old he couldn't have got the quest or battle events)
