Ive can

Would prefer EIR maybe start an new GC today

Will that be 20.00 gmt+1? Scandinavian time?

Im in, will apply the EIR-mod in time for that.

As for country choice i would prefer Germany, or another landbased power.

c.a 6,5 hours from now

The EIR mod is basically an new game new combat system and GER decides when the war starts, after the end of versille,

for Austria GER must have 90% of land divs of france.

I would like to play as the Empire of Japan.:)

What are the most important implications of this new combat system? Does it require me to aproach the game in a different manner?

90% of french land divisions, sounds clever, no more ethernal factory-spamming then!

flanking is now -60

Rotate attacking units units with low org takes higher losses, command limit is more important, more defensive combat events, all units have higher org.

All units besides marines have lower amp assult, there are now transport and landing craft, tps can only rebase to major ports

u gonna need air naval doc for effective naval attacks, landbased planes vs fleet is less deadly, range for NAVs are lowerd, fighters is removed.

that some of the improvement

Maybe forbidden rockes? they arent modeld in the game very well imo.

That is not precisely true, actually amphibious landing bonuses have been shuffled around so that a bonus actually come with 1936 infantry tech, and this value was removed from Marine tech. They are basically the same bonuses as in vanilla, they have just been moved.

This is to allow powers without a real amphibious landing capacity (early war, or land based powers) to have some amphibious capability, even if they don't research marines. Still marines, and marine tech are essential to creating a real naval power, but early war Japan does have some ability to land against those Chinese divisions with infantry or mountain troops, and USSR could potentially land against a weakly defended Baltic coastal province, without having advanced marine tech.

That is the idea anyway.

This was done because in earlier versions of the mod, invading was extremely difficult against beaches even defended with one unit, given the length of combat time, the ability to use support defense more effectively, and the increased intrinsic defensive strength of units.

For the same reason, we also allowed for larger invasion forces earlier, increasing the amphibious stacking limit. For example, in vanilla "Base Strike" increases the stacking limit to 4, while in EIR it is 6.

Ok, count me in and a few friends of mine might be coming. But this time if we are gonna play guys, let's play for real... unlike last time. So no more forgetting the session isd. ;)
