Just out of interest I was wondering which of the modding community from CK2 were planning to move to CK3 & mod that. In particular are any of the people involved in the large immersion mods having any plans to do so.

It all depends for me on what the modding is like for 3. If similar, of course! If radically different, it'll take time to learn but probably so. No one has to move either, 2 will still be around and okay.

I plan to mod Dark Ages for CK3 and continue delivering on a weekly basis. Will continue developing to CK2 until CK3 release or until the date where I place my fingers on a beta version of CK3 and start porting the mod.

At close to 500 events covering about 30 different systems, with many decisions (both targeted and normal), lots and lots of modifiers (opinion, event modifiers, triggered modifiers), with a Spanish translation and more than 2000 lines of localization, I guess my mod cannot be called "small" anymore.

I'm mostly into portrait modding, so obviously that isn't going to work. I somehow need to find a way to get these character models to look less like Sim characters and more like anime characters...

What I'm hoping for is to swap the models out in favor of transparent images, but I doubt it will be that easy, since CKIII looks like it will want to pose 3D models in various ways to conform to the events, so I'm hoping I can make multiple transparent images for various different event scenarios, or based on the mood of the event and the game can maybe retrieve from one of my images and populate the events with my mood images. Until we learn more though, I'm just speculating.

If you like the sim characters, that's fine, but I personally will not play the game with those models, period.

Likely ;) but I'll see what is CK2 made of first to see if the game is worthful, if the game lacks something I'd want to be in or not satisfying to my eyes, if the moddability is easy enough (Transition from CK2 to Imperator is quite painful - re-learning everything)
