So if this thread is a little misplaced in the Doomsday forums, please apologize.
In the Hoi2 Soviet minister files, there is a security minister named Sergej Uritskiy. He is in fact, a crime fighter (-10% consumer goods need) appearing in start of 1937.

Since I know ALL minister in Hearts of Iron 2 are real historical persons, and his facial expression fascinated me for the very first moment, I looked for him in Wikipedia. Surprisingly, there was no article for him. Then I looked up in Google, however I could only find some results linking to Hoi2 AARs. I even tried translating his name to Russian, without success. So now I ask you: Who is this man?

I don't find it surprising that a Soviet man has gone missing.

Neither do I. NKVD might of had something to do with erasing him from history though.

If so, how could Paradox integrate him in Hearts of Iron?

Long lost relative of Johannes maybe ? :D

But seriously though, he might have had a name change to protect himself from the purge or something or para just found this neat photo and wanted to use it.

For a second I thought that you mean he was my relative

But have you checked names near to Uritskiy, like Uritskij or Uritskiyji?

xD. Check your pm Finn.

And no, I'm too lazy. :D But I still stand by my opinion that the NKVD was after his ass and Para put him in because his pic looked awesome.

A bit of a warning... please do not resurrect threads that have been dead for nearly 2 years.
