Are you people kidding? The CK2 kingdom would kick ass. CK2 has no WE or manpower. The armies you raise also automatically replenish on home turf.

Wait, I've been playing this game since it was released...and only now I learn that you don't have to disband troops to replenish them?

It is a fairly recent change - this is why reading all the dev diaries and patch notes are important;)

I believe the EUIV kingdom would win since they could more easily rebuild or reinforce their army after a lost battle. CK2 levies and retinues are harder to replenish.
Lol, CK2 kingdom are technologically superior to EU4 kingdom and will destroy EU4 kingdom with its teleportation tech.

EU4 of course. You go into debt, hire a shittone of cheap mercs and reinforce in Russia or Japan or the amazonic jungle or wherever. Impossible for a CK2 kingdom to win against EU4 cheating broken shitty mechanics.

their armies can land anywhere (EU4 ships can't interact with them) - plus they can assassinate generals and good rulers.
Thats just unfair. Ck2 kingdom can use its actions (assasination), but at the same time it is protected from EU4 actions (naval interdiction)?

Weird question, easy answer.

England loses the war due to France’s manpower advantage, but likely survives as a country. Probably even gets its ass kicked enough it stops being a valid rival for france.

But that was all part of the plan. England’s king then marries a random noble in France initiating a royal marriage in EUIV mechanics. England just repeatedly assassinates the French King and any other kings that are married into the French throne. Because the EUIV line of succession is much simpler, I’d guess England puts France in a PU before the truce ends.

Don't worry. I only found out this week as well :)

For the purpose of comparison, it is probably better to compare 1444 CK2 England with 1444 EUIV France. That way the technology level evens out. In this case, CK2 England probably wins due to having no manpower caps, faster replenishment, no war exhaustion and loads of forts in every province. Unless the war lasts long enough for EUIV France to get artillery, in which case the odds turn into EUIV France's favour. If it is 1066 CK2 England vs 1444 EUIV France, then EUIV France wins hands down.
