Why all Paradox game still using such a tiny font size?

I imagine that's an engine limitation, at the time it was created people where probably hardly playing in more than 1280x1024 but it's 2013 and according to steam the majority of players are using a full HD display (1900x1080).

I don't have any particular eyes problem yet but I found that Paradox game use a WAY TOO SMALL user interface. I am playing on my laptop (17.3inches, 1900x1080 native resolution) and reading (and there is lot of reading in PI games) is not comfortable. I can surely decrease the ingame resolution and let the upscaling do the job but the result is not that nice, quite blurry and a bit ugly.

I definitively hope that Europa Universalis 4 will have bigger font and a more 'older people' friendly user interface.

"Police"? Do you mean font size?

I doubt this topic would have generated nearly as many clicks without the confusing title.

I think that now we've established that he means Font size and not anything to do with the police that people can stop making jokes.

I think that Paradox have to focus on aspects that will increase their core sales and while attempting to engage with an emerging market they will always play to their strengths, which means more time making sure that Matilda of Tuscany has the right moustache and less time on Font Sizes, but with each main release and to a certain degree expansion we see Paradox iterating and attempting to broaden the appeal and accesibility of their titles, which can only be seen as a positive step.
