ho and also why wepwawet has a high god ? they was another more importent divinity, why the divinity of the dead ? Apedemak seen to have bean the chef deity for some time after the roman conquest of egypt unless i miss understood something
I don’t know the first thing about the Kush, or its religion, but going by the popular associations: if Wepwawet is a High God, then there was a connected Egyptian festival somehow associated with this deity confirming that the elderly ruler still had it in him to rule. You can find it here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sed_festival ; and since according to Wikipedia it may have evolved from a previous ritual sacrifice of an incapable ruler…
That said, these are mostly ‘I don’t know anything but I have unconnected associations and google fu’ responses.

from what i understood, kushite is a mix with old egyptian religion and the native kushite religion, so the rite would differ a bit
