So whats with the ugly post processing effects?! just compare it to Wargame: RD that is older and based on the same engine but looks much better. From what I can tell there is some kind of sharpening and contrast pp done that makes everything look well, very dated and ugly.
And why the *** cant you turn of the vignette effect?! it belongs in the same trash bin as motion blur, chromatic aberration and DoF.

so that's my rant... anyone agree?

Looks fine to me, aside from the hideous grass that is.

He does have a point. The game does have an "over-sharpened" look, hence the massive aliasing issues, when you disable TAA. You can see it in the textures (especially bright ones) as well (with or without TAA). That is quite the contrast to the Wargame series which always had a very "smooth" look.

I dont necessarily agree with the rest, but I wondered about the sharpening myself.

I'm finding the environment looks better than RD, but the unit models seem to lack quality compared to RD.Its also embarrassing that they are still using stock Machinegunner posture for all MGs.

The sharp, contrasty look is definitely there. It's subtle, but also oddly obvious.
Of course, it's still hard for me to notice any graphical flaws while staring at units that look like lightsabers when behind a bush! Lord how I want an option to make that to go away. Otherwise I love the game, but that's like having a wonderfully comfortable pair of shoes with a single sharp rock in them.

I run the game on fairly high settings, too, and I have to say I quite like the aesthetic. The vignetting doesn't bother me one way or the other and I quite like seeing some vibrant color in a non-fantasy game for once. The models are beautiful, too — a big step up from Wargame, at least on par with the Israeli DLC models if not better.
