If I had to guess if a crop doesn't have good conditions for part of the run, it won't have a good output at the end. So it's saying that you didn't have water available early on. When I'm starting a new dome and drop a farm I'll set the current crop to a new one when farmers get there, precisely to make sure it's a full crop.I really don't get what's going on here. I seem to have plenty of water.

ge?
This is exactly it, and a bad design from the start IMO; it means if at some point a meteor hits a pipe, or for some other reason you have a water shortage of just a few seconds you can lose an entire crop and it doesn't even reset the growing period unless you manually do it. All the game is an abstraction but this is so removed from how plants work and very inconvenient as a player. If I had to guess if a crop doesn't have good conditions for part of the run, it won't have a good output at the end.
