Can anyone help me explain why i can t hold a triumph with my legion commander in my game when i have a legion, the political power and a recent "big" (7k troops) battle won?

Do i need to be a major power or bigger? What are the possible things i might have overlooked?

Thanks Isaac, i m still not sure what i did wrong. What is a major battle in this case? Minimum 10k?
Cannot find the answer on the forums, I did find this old DD with hold triumph code as an example, but it does not say about the battle conditions:

When you hover the mouse over the hold triumph on the character what does it say?

You cannot hold triumph to your consul, only Legates or Governors:

For some reason it seems to work now, i don t know what is different. Only difference is that my legion is bigger now (was only 4k when this occurred znd early game) and it later in the game.

I also noticed that another bug, namely that a legion commander that was available immediately after triumph is now fixed (tooltip says he becomes unavailable for x ammount of yime after triumph). Now this is indeed the case.

secret patch? idk
I have also seen one or two things that I find interesting. Sometimes, especially early game, you won't gain mil exp if you raise levies but aren't at war.

Major battle threshold is 8000 men, or 16 cohorts. Likely enemies and not sum of both sides so you cannot crush small stacks for easy triumphs.

You have to wait quite long to gain military experience from disbanded levies. And early game you will have neither the boosts to their starting experience, nor the reductions to experience decay.

ah, the decay could explain it
