Why is Battletech suddenly so buggy as to be UNPLAYABLE????

I played off & on since HBS released Battletech on GOG. There were minor bugs, but nothing that killed the game for the first 2 years. I last played 3 months ago, have logged over 900 hours on the game & completed nearly 70% of the achievements.

I fired it up today to run a Steiner commander in career mode & every single mission is crashing. The 4th mission has crashed 4 times & I still have not gotten through it. The 2d time the 4th mission crashed, I had FINISHED the mission, but was selecting salvage ... boom! Do it all over again.

I like repeating maps sometimes, but repeating missions & portions of missions over & over & over again wondering when it will next crash is RIDICULOUS!

The game has not changed since March 2020, so I can only guess some local issue has occurred to you.

Does this happen in a new campaign or career you might start as a test?
