Why is the email function disabled?

I think it's permanent. It's been disabled ever since I joined. There probably was some abuse and Patric decided to disable it. No big deal, imho. You just ask the e-mail of the person you want to reach via pm. It avoids spammers to use the link.

Yep all those reasons - plus the system isnt that fast and if people are using the e-mail function then it can get bogged down very quickly.

You could - I think - increase the number of PM:s allowed to sit in your inboxes and outboxes... Ten is ridiculously low. Almost every time you get the "PM is currently full" answer to your attempts.

Btw, can you delete a PM after you've sent it and still have it delivered to the recipient?

You have the right to more then ten. I often had more than ten even when I wasn't a mod.

As soon as the PM is sent, the message you have in your sent folder is just a *copy*, the message has been delivered.

It's 20 Pm's. But I agree though, the limit should definatly be higher.
