It is still under 24gb. Can we see a screenshot of the dialog where you are setting it to 32gb please?

Don't do that! A USB external drive is utterly unsuitable for a Windows paging file.

With that system you MUST free up space on your C: drive, 4gb free is simply not enough - Windows likes 10% free at least on the boot drive.

I just did that, and I have redone the size of the paging file.

In Finder right click on Local Disk C:, properties. click on Clean Up, then Clean Up System Files. Tick everything in that list and OK it. That will take a while.

Then expand your paging file to at least 32gb. If you still get problems with this game, look at your error.log - you can see yourself whether you've run out of memory again.

I had the same issue and in my case it helped setting the paging file size to "system managed size" in the specific drive were my paging file is located.
My operation system is Windows 11.
