Why my ruler dosen't have children?

I stated as duke of Barcelona, now I become King of Aragon (after war). After ~120 years of ruling my dynasty is about to extinct. Most of rulers had only one son or other died or was girls. What makes ruler have or don't have children? Also frem begining of game I was ruling some arab muslim provinces and in all this time they didn't become christian how to make religinion and culture in province convert faster? I have build all buildings I can and they are still doesn't convert. Some how after I have created bishopic in one of arab-muslim region with border only with other arab-muslim nations and see it become cristian in ~15 years.

Fertility and randomness determine pregnancies. That's a bit of bad luck to have no heirs after 120 years, though. If your king's wife is older find a way to divorce her (assassinate) and marry a young woman who has LOTS of brothers and sisters (even better if she has the "lustful" trait), hopefully she'll be pregnant ASAP.
Converting religions will happen through events, any of the several possible heathen events that gives a chance to convert the province you should be taking and there is one that upright converts it. I'm not 100% certain, but I've got it in my head that in wrong religion provinces the power modifiers can affect the % chance of conversion events, so, I set the nobility and church as the two highest powers.

I knew it is bad luck. And I always trying to find younger wife (logic), but never thought to check her siblings. Thanks for that.
I know about conversions of culture and religion I read about that in CK wiki, perhaps it is bad luck again.
