Wild dragon taming

Hey all !

I am currently playing as the velaryon dynasty and wanted to tame some wild dragon near Asshai. But when I get there, the decision to face the dragon offers me to encounter the oldest dragons and not the youngest ones. The problem is that those dragons are impossible to tame because in hiding. I was wondering why I had always that option and almost never the one offering me the possibility to tame the dragon. What are the criterias ?

And is it a bug that I can't face the youngest ones (younger than 16) most of the time ?

Ill do my best to offer an answer.
I had simliar problem answered in this forum in the past.
- The Dragon has to be a certain age, if the dragon has certain traits the event decision wont work and you have to sit your character in the province and wait for an event to popup.
- Wild dragons that spawn in Ashahi cant be tamed if im not mistaken

Their children can be tamed at least (some of my relatives dit it) but you might have given me the beginning on an answer
