Is the game coming to Linux and/or Mac, or just Windows? Every Paradox GSG I've played so far has been available on all three OSes, but the Steam page for EUV only shows Windows

CK3 and Vic 3 (the newest releases) both run natively on Linux and macOS (with caveats of Rosetta), what newer games by Paradox Studio are there? No new big game launched by Paradox Studio recently is compatible with Linux; they abandoned the support for financial reasons.
Vohe with your wallet, don't buy a Windows only game if you want to show support for Linux. Paradox would only see that kind of purchase for us okay with a sub-optimal solution (Proton) and continue this trend.

It was confirmed by Johan that it's Windows only sadly (as it means I can't play it) https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/foru...even-steam-deck-support.1743143/post-30349122On the steam page there is only Windows, but considering recent paradox releases i doubt it won't release to other platforms, maybe it will firstly launch on windows tho
Just use Proton compatibility and the game will probably run fine. That's all the justification anybody needs to completely ignore Linux as a platform, even now that steamdecks running SteamOS are common. It will always be this way until Windows is a minority platform, which won't happen for the foreseeable future. As an Arch user myself, you simply are going to have to accept that no developer gives a damn about Linux and so it's on you to put in the work to make it run on your system. Probably all you need to do is go to ProtonDB and follow the advice other people have already given while attempting to solve the problems themselves, but Paradox isn't going to do it for you because we're simply not a large enough nor coherent enough demographic to try to reach, especially since we have such powerful compatibility tools at our fingertips.I'm not sure where else I could voice my opinion on this in a way where the devs could possibly hear, so I'll post here for the first time. I've recently switched to practically exclusive use of Linux, and as an avid player of Paradox games with nearly 2,000 hours across all of them combined, I really admire Paradox's high quality Linux ports for Victoria 3, Imperator, CK3, HOI4, etc. I hope they understand that the work they do for cross-platform compatibility doesn't go unnoticed. I implore them to consider supporting Linux for this title, because not only is it a really highly anticipated game for them - meaning their work would pay off more, but more people are using Linux for their desktops and for gaming now than ever. With that fact in mind, it gives them MORE justification for supporting Linux with this game - as opposed to previous titles like, say EU4. Thank you
The dev has mention about Mac/Linux support in the past and they said have no plan for a port atm, so you have to hope for post-release, imo since every Paradox game has Mac/Linux support, EU5 will eventually have one.I'm not sure where else I could voice my opinion on this in a way where the devs could possibly hear, so I'll post here for the first time.
