Hello, I have been playing EU2 for four years and FTG since its release, I've been reading these forums extensively during that time period, but am actually posting for the first time today. I am wondering whether the promised new AGCEEP map is still on schedule for release at any point? I enjoy playing with MyMap but find the experience to be somewhat imperfect, and I wonder if we are still going to get the new map for FTG?

I also am sadly noting that many of the mods that are most compelling have been stuck in a state of non-development for more than a year, unless there are places where these can be found which are not obvious. Has the community around this game mostly moved on, or is it just a bit of a rough time for things at the moment?

Sorry to say but it is almost certainly not going to happen.

there are mods that use FTG, AGCEEP and big maps, but I think noone wants to make the decision to remove the standard vanilla map..........you cannot have both

About how close to complete was the AGCEEP map, in rough percentage terms, if anyone has the answer? What work was left to be done, and what level of expertise would be required to complete that work?

I have given up on the map thing a year ago, and I would guess many who have followed FTG since EU2 have done the same.

Actually, what I am more concerned about is that AGCEEP 1.58 seems more buggy than the bundled 1.57...

1.59 fixed these issues

Needs the ID layer finished up (~70% done) and then injecting into the actual map format. However, as suggested, development stalled a while ago.
