One thing that's just sprung to mind is that I don't think I've ever seen an AI build a Juggernaut once in this game, and it's not even an Ascension Perk tech. The AI is so inept and passive, that nearly 300 years into the game, they have less than 5 50K fleets and that's with the insane amount of passive boosts they get to tech and economy on Grand Admiral difficulty. In between our build and PC's Overlord, are the AI getting any improvements? I remember reading in the PC Dev Diary that they were getting a lot of cool improvements that could make them pretty dangerous, but I'm not sure if we're already passed that build or if it's on the way.

185 years played. Hardest difficulty (scaling).

PS. Is there no way to disable a mega shipyard? Planet killer can't target it and it stays hostile after taking the station in a war.

Lucky you, I'm nearly at 2500 and the AI has no Juggernaut. The Mega Shipyard will remain under control of the enemy empire until you conquer or destroy all planets in that system. If the system in the screenshot is the system you're trying to conquer, the Grinn planet is preventing you from obtaining it.

I cracked his planet but the shipyard is still under his control. Seems you can't stop it during a war.
 
I get the notification that the AI has finished researching the Colossus Project, but they don't actually *build* the Colossus.
It's the same thing with the Psionic Ascension Path, I get notified that they've awakened their Psionic potential (like 200+ years in) but they don't use Psionic shields or anything. Man, I want to have my Reaper roleplay where I powerhouse my way to become the strongest, most overpowered and bloodthirsty empire in the galaxy but the AI manage to overcome me through sheer diversity of strategies, where each species has ships and designs so different from one another that they all benefit in a single fight, where they are all powerful in their own unique way that allows them to beat me if they team up.

Ok, I have to get this demonic experience out of my being and onto the internet. You know how if you load your save as a Multiplayer lobby you can play as another empire that was previously controlled by the AI? I did that so I could get the AI to conquer a Matter Decompressor so I could build more. I gave control of my empire to the AI for 14 in-game days (the time it takes to Jump Drive), and my empire has damn near imploded. My army fleets of Cybrex Warforms threw themselves into the systems being attacked, entire buildings on my planets had been deleted and the worst one...My energy ringworld had an Alpha Hub under construction... How do you self-destruct this badly in 14 days. 14 DAYS!!
