The Archduke said he didn't mind waiting a year for a bug-free game (or something to that effect). I posted that he had already waited a year fot his one (CK). Then he said he would wait 2-3 months. So, that part was a dig at him. (Doesn't work too well when you have to explain it.)

The part about we humble knights clicking away was a round about way to push Sergei to open up beta testing to those of us who have dedicated sword and shield to his service. (Again, it loses its edge when it is explained but I guess i should have made it more obvious in the original post.)

So we probably still see eye-to-eye on most things. It was just mis-communication.:)

Well you certanly dont owe me any explination but thanks for it anyway.

I just get a little yancy when I see posts like "we will find the bugs" or anything remotely like it. I understand we will have bridges to cross as a CK gaming community but this game looks like its going to be special, and for me I am really looking foward to playing it for fun, and not to find bugs.

Not to mention the commerical impact of releasing a buggy game....

Agreed there, I think Paradox weathered the storm very well considering, alot of other companies wouldnt have been so liberal with thier community.

That for me will always be a saving grace for Paradox, but this isnt just a Paradox game and Snowball is an unknown to me so I am a little leary of what kind of game we are going to get.

CK is a new inhouse engine, in some ways it is similar and in other it is very much not... but I'm concerned with engine only as much as it improves the workings of interface anyway, for a game like CK interface is the major part of how the playing experience will be taken in.

Heh, I am the first to admit I wouldnt have the patience. I get chest pains if a draw sticks, bottom line when things dont go as designed I get pissy.

My saving grace is, I can admit it and therefore would be a poor candidate for beta testing, postal worker sure...
