I just got new PC with 64-bit Win 7 home premium (4 GB, GeForce GTS 450) and can't play AoD anymore (1.05). I've deleted avi folder, changed monitor to 16-bit colors, set resolution to 1920x1080. No matter what I can't even get to game settings window - it crashes every time around initializing sound/graphics.

Please, HELP!

It's not even on C:\... No resolution works. Worse - after changing PC I'm reinstallin all PI games. So far I did CK, EU3, AoD - I can't run any of them, all CTD before reaching settings window. I have also Mount&Blade Warband, Witcher, few more - these are working without problems. What the hell is going on?

I'm running AoD 1.04 on W7 32bit and XPx64 machines w/o problem. Having trouble with it on the XP machine after a new install of W7x64. Please see the following crash report:

The Ntdll.dll file is located in the Windows/system32 directory

Edit - Crash usually occurs during "Initializing Globals" phase of game startup. I am able to run the game on my netBook running W7x64

Edit - The Ntdll.dll in both the x86 and x64 versions of W7 are the same version, but the x86 is 1.25MB and the x64 is 1.65MB in size. Both OS's are updated to the latest's.

Problem solved - use "Run as Administrator"

Stupid Microsoft!

and Moses said onto Pharaoh, Bill Gates, let my hard drive go!

Ok, AoD 1.04 is running on W7x64 - but CTD whenever run as multiplayer - both Local Area and Internet.

Gotta be a setting in W7 somewhere - happens even with the firewall off!

Any ideas?

Try this; Go into Control Panel - System and Security - System. Click System Protection then the Advanced Tab. Under Performance click settings. Click the Data execution prevention tab. Click the second selection dot than add the AODgame.exe file to the list and apply.
Keeps Windows from mucking about to much with your programs. Might work, give it a shot.
