How do you run this game in windowed mode? I want to try this, so I can play the game at work and have less of a chance of getting caught in windowed mode. Hahahahahahah :D

Anyways, so I right cliked on the shortcut of EU:Rome. Then I clikced on "open file location," then in there is the file "settings." But in there it doesnt say window mode.

Do I just have to type that in or is elsewhere?

Line you have to modify is FullScreen=yes Just change yes to no. :)

I'm suffering from the bug that crashes the game when I select the different bookmarks so I'm trying to run in windowed mode as I understand this is a "temporary fix". However, when I edit the settings file and try to save the change I get an error:

"Cannot create the C:\Program Files\Paradox Interactive\ Europa universalis - Rome\ settings.txt file.

Please check that the path and filename are correct."

Any thoughts on what the hell is going on? The file is obviously there as I just opening and edited it...

I'm running Vista 32, for my sins.

First copy and paste the file to the desktop you cannot edit it when its in local disk c on vista. Then change the setting on the desktop folder. Then delete the one in the rome folder and copy paste the one on the desktop back to the rome folder. It should work fine after that.
