[Windows 10] Regular (not Ironman) Save Crashes when trying to load

Hi Everyone,

So I am playing CK2 on a windows 10 laptop. Recently I decided I wanted to play a game as Navarre which I hadn't played since November 30, 2019. When I tried loading it up, I got to "loading graphics", then a black screen where the painting/portraits usually are, the music stop, then the game crashed to desktop. I tried a variety of different things:

- Disabled all mods
- Uninstalled and reinstalled the game
- Verified integrity of game cache on steam
- I tried rolling the game back to the version before Nov. 30 2019.

None of these steps worked.

I had tried a number of other save games as well, and none of them worked either despite there being no warning about them being outdated or corrupt.

I started a new game, which worked, then I saved it. I reloaded it on the current game version with no issue.

At some point I noticed that my save games were set to be opened with Wordpad and were "read only" (maybe from when I edited a save game at some point in time). I changed them back to notepad and unchecked read only, since i believe that was the default setting (unless they are supposed to be read-only)

I am not sure what the issue is. I know the saves are corrupted, but since they are not ironman I am hoping they can be fixed or recovered some how. I am attaching the save file and if anyone could spare some time to maybe point out an issue that would be highly appreciated.

The game patch back then would have been 3.2.2 or 3.3.0 I guess. If you revert to those versions in the Steam betas tab for this game, can you then load that save okay?

If not, I can only guess the save is indeed corrupted. Sorry about that! If you edited it with Wordpad, that is very likely the problem, as it would have added word-processing stuff to the file.

I tried 3.3.0 but no luck. Trying 3.2.2 now but I am not holding my breath. And yeah I imagine Wordpad might have screwed things up but I am pretty sure I never edited this save in particular with Wordpad.
