Windows 2000 (failure)

I just bought your game and I installed it on my Win2K box.
At the end of the install it said something about this game won't work
on a Window NT system.. I don't know what that was about since I have a
Windows 2000 box. Anyhow, I then installed the 1.09 patch and went to
start up the game for the first time and NOTHING HAPPEN.... All I got was
a pop up about "Safe Disk" and then the game stopped running.


WHAT is going on?

I have win2000 and i can play.
I think the problem is in the Safedisk thing...
some cd rom drivers have problems with the copy protection

When tried on win2k box at work, found same problem.. had to go back to 1.08 for it to work.

For the record Windows 2000 is Windows NT5.

I have problems only if autorun starts and i close the window.
The safedisk fails...


I eject and reinsert the CD with SHIFT pressed down.

Win2k - Upgraded - Intermittent Problem

I have had the same problem. I reinstalled EU and upgraded to 1.10 three times.

My machine is working now, regardless of how I start it. But it was not earlier this evening.

I have installed EU and 1.09 patch successfully on Windows 2000. I have the UK version of the game. (I believe there are different copy protection schemes for each language version.)

I have EU 1.09NA (North America)running on a 2000 machine with no problems.

hiya

i highly recommend you upgrade to SP2. also you might wana log as administrator. for some reason loging as anything other then administrator is causing some security issues with some software.
