Hello

I honestly have no idea how to thoroughly describe this problem, because I'm at a loss as to what the issue actually is. I can't get past the year 1600 of a certain save because at some point during the first half of that year, the game shuts itself off without explanation. It's not at the same date every time and it doesn't seem to be connected to a certain message or event because I've tried at least 10 times and sometimes the new institution spawns, sometimes not, sometimes Bohemian crystal pops, sometimes not etc.

I just play the game normally - starting coring a province, build a few ships, whatever, and suddenly it just crashes. There's no consistency in something specific happening or me clicking on anything in particular. The situation has been different every time I've tried, except that it always crashes.

I have tried using the crash reporter to report my issue but I get an error message for that, see attachments.

I suspect the save file has become corrupted somehow, but I honestly have no idea.

So, I've tried attaching relevant files to this to the best of my abilities. If something is missing, please direct me on how to rectify this.

There are no mods present. I have never had any issues with this game on this system before.

Is there maybe a war which is ending when the game crashes(the different dates could be because a siege has to end first) in which a country gets fully annexed and the annexed country has a subject which has its independence supported? This commonly causes crashes on macOS and occasionally it crashes on windows as well. One of the macOS crashes had the same last message in the error.log as your crash

Thank you for your reply!

That's definitely a possibility, for instance Castile is in a war versus a couple of tribal minors, but I have no way of knowing if that's what happens right at the crash. The game shuts off immediately so it's impossible to see what happens right at that moment. It's as if whatever triggers it is simultaneous with the crash.

Did you check if there is a country who is losing their war and which has a subject which has its independence supported? You could save every few days till you have a save which crashes immediately and then you can switch to the winning country and make such a peace deal yourself to see if it crashes the game. Once you identified the peace deal which causes the crash, you can either end the war in some other way or you can make the subject not exist

After some finagling it seems Portugal annexing a nation in mesoamerica with a subject with supported independence was actually the culprit. I ended that conflict differently and it seems I can now actually play on.

Thank you for your valuable assistance!
