Players of LI, in whatever headcanon you have going for LI, who will be the winners of history? Which realms, religions, and cultures will be successful over the course of the game's timeline? Who are the big kids on the block by the time EU4 times roll around?

I personally like to believe that the Indohellenic Emperors did exactly what Alexandros did, but in reverse. They conquered and conquered until they made it to Greece, then the emperor died, and the realm split apart. The survivors lasted until roughly 1450 in Anatolia, but the rest of the world was uniting under the Pythagoreans, because I like them so much, and I basically get to be God in this story, so why not? Desperate for safety, the remaining Indohellens set up a huge expedition west. They made it to America, and no one knew it until the Pythagoreans sailed there some 100 years later... only to find a massive Indo-Indo-Hellenic Empire.

None of this is plausible, obviously, but it's fun to root for the little guy when you can make them win. :p

Except an empire that will last the test of time.

In Lux's lore that holds true but not for all players, I routinely have massive Egyptian empires that dominate North Africa and the Levant :)

I deliberately let them go into decline and resurgence phases to mirror the timeline and history without outright destroying my work and of course the vassal limits and the realm duress are great limiters.

Well back to my game now, my reformed Isis worshipping Egypt is currently fighting off the Eosphorist Galatian Eastern Roman Empire! never seen before or the Unictionist HRE that's ruling over a messy clusterfuck in Germany and fighting the petty realms of France/Gaul constantly be they mirthraic christian or semi-pelagian.

Oh I know a player's empire will last. I was going by the canon, aka Lux's Lore, empires.
