Not sure if this has been reported, but if my son is married, when I grant him a title his wife stays in my court. She really should auto-move with him.

Though it'll be sad to see my Spy Master go.

That's WAD. Any courtier with a position (as Spymaster) won't move anywhere in any case. With only one exception: If a positioned woman courtier marries, she loses her position instantly and will move to her husband's court. Women that are already married and have position (like in your case) won't move unless you take the position away from them.

Incidentally, a man and a woman can still have kids even if they are in different courts. :D

Which is just... weird. :D

However, if I was to demote her to a courtier, would she go live with the husband?

It's just that some husbands are so gullible... :rofl:

Yes...

I modded a little bit and put in the scenario 2 characters one male and one female that are married from the beginning, he is a duke with a county and she is only a courtier at the court of champagne.
Why is she still stayng by her uncles court? Is this WAD too?
And why if i make her mother count of Krain and she courtier at her court, she still stay in the court of champagne? What the heck is here working? Maybe she is a little champagne addicted or is this only a bug or whatelse??? :confused:

Does she have a position (Spymaster, Chancellor or Steward)? If yes, it works as intended. If not, then there might be a bug.

I know courtiers don't have positions at the start of game, but as immigration takes a while, AI could assign her a position. So run your modded scen for two months or so and then check whether or not she has a position. If she has, she should stay in Champagne.

No, she has not a position, she is married to my character at the start and she should be in her housband court, as i modded her there, but she is not... :(

Well, I'd suggest some kind mod first moves these posts starting from your first post to Scenarios forum, because this considers modding and is not a bug in original game.

Is her father duke of Champagne?

EDIT: Also it sounds odd that she got bastard, because normally only rulers get bastards.

I dont know either if this is the right forum, it only seemed to me to be a bug.

Her father is death her uncle is the duke of champagne.

Well, if I rememeber correctly, the Paradox Bug Forum policy is that they prefer to concentrate on bugs appearing in normal gameplay.

Is her father's shield that of Champagne? Does she start in Verona at the first day of scenario?

Then I guess there is some sort of error in entering her info, because the country field should say which country she starts the scenario in.

Migration doesn't happen instantly. It's random, and you may be very unlucky.

Also, IIRC, I think marriage is not only recorded in the character's part of the save. So maybe it's not only what triggered migration ;)

Cat

Also, there is nothing in your code which shows the 2 characters are married ! :D

(spouse = ... I believe)

Cat

Actually marriages are recorded in the scenario_relations file, there should not be any indication in the characters themselves that they are married.

I presumed that Barbala had made them married properly in the relations file as he implies they are married in the game...

You are sooo right ;)

This is what i putted into the scenario_relations file:

marrige = {
primary = { type = 10 id = 10087 }
secondary = { type = 10 id = 7303 }
startdate = { year = 1065 month = september day = 18 }
}

But let's get back to the original bug. If I marry my son to some bimbo, and she moves to my court. I then grant him title to something.

Will she move to follow him?

"No" so far if she holds a position in my court. Not perfect, but I can live with it. What I think the modder was trying to do was get her to move afterward.

So, will she follow him?

She's supposed to, but it may take time, AFAIK.
