Lack of randomness

It appears that CK uses the exact same random number generator every time, or something like that, because in *every* game, I can practically predict which wars will be declared in the first few days. For example, playing on normal aggressiveness, AI Apulia *always* declares war on sheikdom of Palermo (I think, it's one of the Sicilian sheikdoms, but always the same one in every game). Sweden *always* declares war on the county of Närke. Etc, etc. It would be nice if some randomizing factor was included in the AI's decisions, as these exact same wars are getting stale after a while. :)

duke of galich always attacks pecheneg, sometimes kiev joins in

king of hungary always attacks someone in podlasia(not sure if it's the vassal or liege)

king of germany always attacks pommerania(and fails)

emirates of zarragoza and almeria chop up navarra(although less than in 1.01, back then they were done with it before 1068.)

Is it not because the same characters start with the same claims at the beginning of a scenario ?

Otherwise, it's a random seed badly initialised...

well, the ai is being worked on for 1.03.:)

I've noticed problems with randomness in respect to events as well, particularly trait events. For example, when I have the "child won't stop killing pets" event, it happens to the same character, over and over. Each event seems to pick a different character, and it keeps happening to them until another character reaches the age to qualify, in which case an event may reorient on them instead.

The Paradox random number generator has never been the most stellar :p

The same random event often occurs in EU2 for your country several times in succession.

In other words, I wouldn't expect to see this fixed any time soon ;)

Yep, apart if I learn something different, that would be a WON'T FIX
