Suggestion:

Mj. generals can command 1 squadron
Lt. generals can command 2 squadrons
Air general can command 3 squadrons
Air marshal can command 5 squadrons

I guess I've been playing to much TRP. Does it affect the AI in any negative way if I mod it myself?

Seriously... I like the fact that the high ranking air generals become more rare and more valuable. At the beginning of the war u cant field all your interceptor groups with good enough leaders. Imo AA + radars become more valuable defending the Reich becouse of this.
 
Putted 40 divs (i cancelled the fort constructions at the beginning of the scenario, so only had 1 in each province) 17 at saarbrucken, 15 at mainz and 8 in Freiburg and the French didn't attack (with nofog they had nearly 50/55 divs on Maginot line) So conclusion: they attacked at 27 divs, but not 40 ;)

Edit: Tried fall Gelb 1 september 1939, beaten france in 1 month, didn't notice any changes, except France doesn't enact mobilisation (lot's of divs nearly empty)

is the sino-japanese war more historical now? it tended to stalemate with japan having half of china.

That is almost how it happened in World War II. Towards the end of the war Japan made more progress, but the front was fairly stable for several years.
 
I never played World in Flames, can someone direct me to the original so I know what it is about? I don't think anyone will take time to explain it to me
