Can the mod handle ahistorical decisions? What if I ally Poland as Germany or DOW Germany as France/the UK in 1938? Will the AI, event chains etc. break apart?

Some events will still be available - others will not. It all depends on what you do.
Yeah, but will the mod be playable if I do ahistorical things or is it designed to cover historical options only?
As a said - depends on what you do. As playable as vanilla. More stuff for the historical options ofc.
Ok, maybe I should be more specific... Let's consider several "common" ahistorical options.
1) War in 1938, with Czechoslovakia on the Allied side.
2) The USSR DOWs Japan in 1939.
3) The USSR attacks Germany while GER-FRA war is still ongoing.
4) Italy DOWs Republican Spain.
5) Japan annexes China and attacks the USSR.
6) Germany attacks Turkey and attack the USSR from there.

I finished the translation of the mods.csv into german. But I dont call it "final" yet, i have to see it in ingame context when the 1.03 beta comes out.

For instance, as UK or USSR, would you like being able to tell the USA to start Italy invasion or D-Day?
As Germany, would you like being able to tell Italy to focus on helping you out against the Soviet Union?
