O M G just downloaded the mod...very impressive indeed...just a couple of questions..is this only 1933 and Germany alone playable?...is this some kind of a 'official' work or just a mod?...nevertheless superb work.... EDIT:the music of the kwai river is Axis music? :p

I put this in the main thread (without much success) and because I am playing World in flames I thought I would ask here:

1. Is it just me, or does a leaders skill have much less effect in the latest patch? I had a look at misc txt, and noticed that it has been reduced (for land) from 0.05 to 0.03. However, this still does not account for how low they are now, as a skill level 5 should result in a .03 X 5= 15 bonus, but in game the actually bonus is around 9.

2. With Naval battles this is reversed, with Donitz's, skill level 5, having a 38 points increase in combat. The answer is not in the misc txt, as this is largely unchanged. Has anyone else seen this? Or know why this is happening? If its WAD then fine, I would just like to known what other thing effect leadership skill effects (other then the misc txt as before).


Now I know why nobody else is complaining about this. For some reason, my land commander skill adjustment is taking is modifier from the air adjustment, and hence, navel is taking the land, and I assume air is taking the naval. Sounds like a fresh install may be required as I have had base Darkest hour installed from the beginning, and added patches mods etc over the years to it. Perhaps something has gone amiss?

Edit. Even with a reinstall, still getting this problem, of land units taking there experience misc data from wrong spot.

Fernando, i found a minor issue
i had 3 garrisons and one naval plane in the same province, i wanted to group the garrisons together, but because i didn't know that the naval plane would get grouped too, i just grouped them into a stack of four

the game shutdown on me, but i got a glimpse of the stack of 4

Were you playing with fullcontrol on?

everyone can dow option is off, but when USSR dow poland as the usual molotov pact, britain dow tannu tuva and then britain is fighting both axis and comintern
has this ever happened to you?
 
Uh, I think there is something with the Final Surrender decision for Japan. If the Chinese accept (''Claim a loyal puppet''), Nationalist China's remaining provinces are still there, change of leadership and give Japan military access, with a Peace Treaty signed. That's it. Shouldn't they become a puppet and annex China-Nanjing or other way around?

First of all: Thank you for making such a good mod.I like playing your mod, especially the pre-war time is very good. But here are some thing I would change:
I don´t understand why you do not want to make SS better? There is no doubt that they were a perfect organized elite, they had special training and better equipment --> which means that they also have to be better than normal infantry divisions. And i mean in general and not only in an urban combat or against partisans.
Of course some SS divisions were the exactly opposite. Is this the resason why you don´t want to make the SS better?
If yes I have a suggestion: I would create a new unit type -so called fascist militia- like in HOI3 Black Ice, these fascist militia could present horrible waffen- divisions der SS like the Handschar division, Kama division, Skanderberg division, RONA division, which acted only against partisans and were a complete disaster.
Furthermore France is too strong. I know you want to make the game more challenging, but that´s just ahistorical and do you want to make an ahistorical mod? Maybe I´m not the best player, but was anyone on this forum able to capture Paris on 21st June?
I think a better way to represent the French army would be to have most of the Army be made of Model 1931 infantry divisions with lower organisation.

I did on normal, got a Panzerdivision from it. Soviet, on the other hand, is impossible for me. I did however have to neglect most of the eastern border to win in the west, build very few air wings, avoid invading Norway and got lucky with france trying to penetrate the Sigfried line while i advanced.
 
I really like the mod. So I made suggestions for some more stuff that can be made into events.

First of all, I wondered why the German-Soviet Military Cooperation is not included. It was ended in 1933, but there should be a choice creating blueprints and better relations for both sides if continued, or lower dissent for Germany if ended.

There can be an event/decision for the book burnings, causing a bit of belligerence and a closed society move.

Another one would be the German-Polish Non Aggression pact of 1934, which would include lower belligerence and the Pact itself.

In 1935 there could be a decision to introduce the Reichsarbeitsdienst, costing a bit of manpower, and giving industrial efficiency.
