World in Flames Platinum Edition - gameplay advice please.

Hey guys, I'm having a bit of a problem holding back the Germans as the Soviet union, its July 1942 and they have almost reached Stalingrad, we have around the same amount of divisions but most of mine are 1936/39 while most of theirs are 1943, which they invaded with in 1941.

Is there any kind of event I can look forward to? Also, should I start building tanks or anything else? Or just keep with Infantry? Any advice would be appreciated...!

1.Hold your position if you can, if you can't - retreat to porivnces behind rivers (or mountainous provinces).
2.Train Infantry, you should have at least 2 times more inf than Germans.
3.If everything else fails, try to force them into attrition warfare, draining their manpower.

BTW, is there a way to skip a song on the playlist by typing something in console or something?

Thanks for the help, do you have any ideas why my game keeps crashing? I was playing as USA and a few months after Pearl Harbour attack it crashed, then I started a new game as Rep China and it crashes again just after Japanese invasion, does it normally crash like this?

Never crashed on me (maybe once ). Ask fernando, or maybe you had a corrupt file or something. Tubes of teh internet are not all that reliable.

When I play Germany, I disable music and do not use counters. It helps to avoid CTDs.
