Nope, but DAIM improves the AI alot. There's a TRP AAR, in wich he got his ass kicked by Germany DAIM AI.

Not TRP, but close :) Though me and TRP are working in the 1964 mod together.

Did you ever try the DAIM mod? its for the AI and it actually makes a big difference and sometimes the AI is very good, it can do really unpredictable things. Without it I also found it very easy to resist germany as the soviets, but with DAIM i can easily end up fighting for my life. Without DAIM, i probably wouldnt even bother playing this game anymore.

Oh and if you want even more graphic enhancements, download the SKIF mod, it adds some really nice unit pics, instead of those old grey things.

Seriously though, it is a pretty awesome mod. DAIM and SKIF that is. I use SKIF all the time, as it is just beautiful. If you want to check out both, DMLL (first link in my sig) has both DAIM and SKIF.

In fact, SKIF was so nice on the eyes we plan on putting something similar in our mod.

Back on topic though: I am surprised such a strategy worked! If I were Mr.Hitler I'd be embarrassed right now :p To go to war with a nation with no army, then to fail to capture said country's capital, then be pushed back to your own !! Where is Rommel in all this by the way?

That should be an interesting AAR, your victory over the Germans could be delayed by a whole couple of years! :p

Seriously though a post BP AAR would be fun to read, it'd be s situation I've never really seen before.
 
It would kind of depend on how many divisions a post BP USSR would have. THe Germans would have 500+ IC, a massive modern army, and a huge navy. See how the other AAR gores I suppose. THis one was more of a cocept idea and an AI post BP USSR won't ave the advantage of 5 years worth of IC whoring. May also be short of resources particuly energy and maybe oil.

How about this. you play USSR from 1936-1940, then you switch to Germany untill BP. THEN switch back to USSR?
 
Not a bad idea ut I'm not sure if I could defeat the USSR with an AI Germany for 4 years and having a human IC whore for 4 years and then set up massive infantry lines for the AI to benefit from by 1941. Still could be fun.

Then extend the time to 41, and no building of units while you are controlling the Soviets.
 
Then its a blitz when I switch to the Germans:) I usually do play my strategy games on higher difficulty levels (deity for civ, brutal for Command and conquor, hard for LoTR etc) but they almost always

1. cripple the player via reduced speed/resources/research time.
or
2. Give the AI extra units/double resources or something.

I usually try and find in in game way to make it harder like in civ playing a 1 city challenge on deity (Civ Rev) or 5 city challenge on deity (Civ III), or playing on monarchy but not allowed to build any military units at all.

In HoI you can win with one of the majors if you concentrate on army/airforce or navy. Done the sub/cv/BB/BC/strat bomber games and the see how fast you can pull off barbarossa. Haven't done the 8 hour Poland attempt. DAIm ad the MDS mod look interesting.
 
How about a soviet AAR, where all you build is infra and land forts until barbarossa? Come to think of it, i might do that myself.
 
That one would beeven easier than this one. Buyild a big line of forts from Moscow to Stalingrad, spam militia and hold out for winter. I deleted the screenshots by moistake but this one ended with the Red Army in Berlin and the Courland-Leningrad pocket crushed. On normal difficulty no IC whoring, no army/navy/airforce and no excessive fort buiolding could be interesting (fortify Leningrad/Moscow/Stalinngrad). Also build infrastructure in western Russia to speed up the German advance. I would watch that one.
