I am rereading the series and eagerly awaiting the Amazon series (and hoping it isn't too screwed up) and was thinking, wouldn't a Wheel of Time overhaul be cool for CK2?
- Channeling could be a genetic trait with varied levels of strength. Channelers have extra options for using the power. Of course, the men go mad, and waste away, if not gentled.
- Andor would use Enatic Primogeniture succession.
- Tear has no king. The High Lords might best be represented by Patrician families of a merchant republic.
- Perhaps the Seanchean would become an off-map power? Using mechanics of either China or Aztecs?
- Saldaeans get a boost to calvary. Aiel get a bonus to light infantry. Carheinin get extra plot power. Domani get extra stewardship. Amadicians get laughed at.
- Religions could include the worship of the Creator (Amyrlin Seat instead of the Pope), the Way of the Light (Secular Head - Lord Captain Commander of the Whitecloaks), the Crystal Throne (Secular Head - Empress of Seanchean), and Ji'eh'toh.
- The Sea Folk are probably best represented as a mercenary band that offers transports.
- Play through history - the years after the Breaking, the Ten Nations, the Trolloc Wars, the Fall of Aridhol, Hawking's Empire, Rise of House Trakand, The Aiel War, and the Last Battle.
- Become an Aes Sedai, join the Band of the Red Hand, an Aiel warrior society, or kneel to the Great Lord of the Dark.
